Welcome to the Chuck Corica Golf Complex in Alameda
Rees Jones Redesign & Improvements Underway!
The project includes a full redesign of tees, greens and fairways by the world-renowned architect Rees Jones, re-contouring of all holes, improved drainage, irrigation, cart paths and re-grassing. The South front nine will be followed by the closing of the South back nine sometime in the late spring to undergo the same process with all 18-holes planned for a grand reopening in 2016. The North Course along with the recently completely renovated Par 3 and Practice Facility will remain open without interruption during the South Course Renovations.
Play the New Mif Par-Three
Our new par three golf course is in “country club” shape and we think you’ll love it. Everyone is raving about it because it is fun for all skill levels and the greens roll smoothly because they are bent grass. But watch out they are tricky.
The holes range from 75 to 155 yards so most of you won’t need but a five clubs or so. Some golfers simply hand carry their clubs and others remove from their bag the longer clubs they won’t use. See course photos.
Green fees range from $10 for local senior residents, $13 for residents and $16 for non-residents. And the replay rate is only $5! Come out and have fun on it!
November Special- After 3:00 PM Tuesdays through Fridays $10 gets you a small bucket of range balls and a green fee for the Mif. We call it Happy Hour!
Practice on our New Short Game Area!
If you’re looking for the best short game practice area in the Bay Area, here it is. It is a massive undulating green that is 50 yards by 25 yards and the green is bent grass and in great shape for you to practice any shot inside of the thirty yards or so. It also has two huge sand traps to practice from. The rates are $5 the first 30 minutes and $3 each additional 30 minutes.
FYI- Mondays the short game par three are closed for maintenance and also they are closed Thursday until noon for maintenance.

Our Random Acts of Fun are designed to express warmth and gratitude as we endeavor to “love, serve and deliver fun for all!”
Greenway Golf is another name you’ll come to know here. As of September 1, 2012, Greenway proudly took over the operations of the complex, both on and off the course. No one in the golf industry has a commitment to Fun like Greenway and a track record of worldwide course maintenance accomplishments. Greenway is now in the process of implementing numerous course and facility renovations at the Chuck Corica Golf Complex. www.greenwaygolf.com
Major improvements underway include:
- Complete renovation of the Jack Clark South Course by world renowned golf architect Rees Jones. When completed, Alameda will have the only Rees Jones-designed golf course in the East Bay Area.
- New grass tee on the driving range (coming in October 2014)
- New cart paths, improved drainage and grassing of the Earl Fry North Course
The only 45-hole golf complex in the East Bay.
Earl Fry. Jack Clark. Mif Albright. No, these are not the next rising stars on the pro tour. They are the names proudly given to the three golf courses here at Chuck Corica Golf Complex, each of which has its own personality and reputation.
Earl Fry North Course is an 18-hole, parkland course with tree-lined fairways. It’s a little shorter than the Jack Clark South Course, features more dog legs and has water is in play on 13 holes. This course is a lot of fun to play.
Jack Clark South Course is an 18-hole, links-style course, the more challenging of the two 18-hole courses. It’s more open off the tee and a little more exposed to wind.
Mif Albright Par 3 Course: An enjoyable 9-hole, par-3 course that plays from 47-196 yards each hole. It’s great for
beginners, juniors, seniors, short-game practice or just quick fun with friends.
Excellent Practice Range: Warm up or get some coaching with one of pros. We offer private lessons, playing lessons and group lessons we call “Get Golf Ready” (five one-hour lessons for only $99).
“The north course is in fantastic shape. Kudos to the maintenance crew. The greens are near perfect. The morning crew, pro shop and ambassadors provide excellent customer service. Everyone is having fun.” Steve Chong, Facebook Fan
